Dr. Sarika Shah is the founder and principal dentist at Platinum Dental Care in Canary Wharf. With over 19 years of experience in general and cosmetic dentistry, she is highly regarded for her clinical precision, compassionate care, and commitment to delivering outstanding dental outcomes.
Sarika graduated from the University of Manchester in 2006 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and went on to complete a Master’s degree in Restorative Dentistry from the prestigious UCL Eastman Dental Institute in 2014. Her postgraduate training reflects her dedication to advanced clinical excellence, particularly in aesthetic and minimally invasive dentistry.
Sarika has a strong focus on minimally invasive, aesthetic dentistry and has undertaken extensive postgraduate training in areas such as Invisalign, teeth whitening, composite bonding, and smile makeovers. She is an experienced Invisalign provider and enjoys helping patients achieve straighter, healthier smiles through discreet and customised treatment plans.
She has a strong interest in smile design, composite bonding, whitening, and restorative care — always with a focus on preserving natural tooth structure. As an experienced Invisalign provider with over 14 years of experience in clear aligner therapy, Sarika has completed over 1000 aligner cases, helping patients achieve healthier, straighter smiles and confidence through discreet and customised treatment plans. She is also recognised by Invisalign as a Diamond Provider.
In addition, Sarika has a special interest in the treatment of temporomandibular disorders (TMD), jaw pain, and clenching. She takes a holistic, personalised approach to care — addressing the root causes and promoting long-term relief and stability for her patients.
Sarika founded Platinum Dental Care with the vision of creating a welcoming, modern space where patients feel listened to, valued, and truly cared for. Her gentle manner and clear communication help patients feel at ease while receiving the best in evidence-based care. Sarika has also ensured the practice is equipped with the latest dental technology to support diagnostic accuracy and clinical excellence. This includes the use of 3D intraoral scanners, a CBCT Scanner, digital workflow systems, and AI-powered software such as Pearl AI to enhance diagnostics and patient communication. By combining advanced tools with a patient-centred approach, Sarika and her team deliver dentistry that is modern, efficient, and precise.
Beyond clinical dentistry, Sarika is dedicated to mentoring and developing others within the profession. She is the founder of Flourish as a Female – In Dentistry, a self-leadership course designed to support and empower female dental clinicians in their personal and professional journeys. Her work in this space has led to invitations to speak at national dental conferences, appear on industry-leading podcasts, and take part in recorded interviews — all aimed at empowering and inspiring fellow professionals.
