When we book an appointment for you, we commit that time and our resources for your treatment. This means that, if anyone else wants to come at the same time, we will be unable to see them and will have to offer them an alternative time.
If you do not then attend that appointment and either does not tell us in advance or give insufficient notice, we are unable to allocate the time to someone else; however, we still have overheads and staff salaries to pay during the unproductive time.
For this reason, it is our policy to request deposits and make a charge if insufficient notice of cancellation or amendment is given to encourage you to give us as much notice as possible if your busy lives take over. If you fail to attend your appointment or give less than 48 hours notice when cancelling or rearranging it and we are unable to fill the space, unfortunately, we will have to charge you your deposit.
We ask for deposit amounts of £50 per 30 minutes of surgery time booked e.g a 1 hour appointment will be £100 and a 3 hour appointment will be £300 (other appointment lengths will be rounded down to the nearest half an hour)We ask for deposits of £300 – £5000 for any specialised dental treatment and full appointment fees for repeat offenders.
If you have booked an appointment without a deposit on file, please expect to be contacted by the reception team in the weeks leading up to the appointment for this to be collected.
