Dr Mitul Shah is our Specialist in Periodontics, with a range of experience in general practice and hospital dentistry. He originally qualified from King’s College London in 2012 before completing his foundation training in Oxfordshire. Mitul then spent a year gaining experience in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Restorative Dentistry at the Royal London Hospital.
Mitul was then awarded a specialist training position to study Periodontology at King’s College London where he has successfully completed 4 years of training, passing with a distinction. He was also awarded the ‘Membership in Periodontics’ by the Royal College of Surgeon Edinburgh, which is recognised as the highest qualification in the field. Mitul splits his time between private practice and hospital dentistry, where he is a specialist clinical teacher and clinical lecturer in Periodontology. He is currently the vice chair of the British Society of Periodontology Early Career Group and will be elected onto the main council from 2021 onwards.
His care is characterised by precision and meticulous attention to detail. He is caring and will always take the time to listen to your concerns and to tailor treatment to the individual in a holistic manner.
Outside of dentistry, Mitul lives in Hertfordshire with his wife and 2-year-old daughter. He enjoys cooking, learning languages and playing football
